*****QUINCY'S 5th BIRTHDAY INVITATIONS*****

This year it was HOT so the summer here is all about swimming, and coincidentally, Quincy is all about mermaids! So, there we go, a match made in heaven. We sent out the invitations in a bottle with sand and seashells.

We decided on a fairy-themed party for Quincy's 3rd. I decided to make the invitation like a puzzle that the girls would have to put together in order to read the invite.

This was the best birthday Quincy will EVER have. I must have had a lot of time on my hands that summer! Once the invitations were out, I got busy planning. Like usual, one idea led to another until I had gone overboard once again. I ended up making each girl a rainbow tutu (although for some reason I think my mom saved me again and helped put them all together), a flower wand, a t-shirt to color and fairy wings and had them find each item during a scavenger hunt. I was (and still try) to sneak veggies into my kids' foods and to make them homemade yummies when my life allows. This was a day when I was overly ambitious and even documented my kitchen-work.

Blueberry Bars with Spinach Baked in... shhhh....

Sadly, I can't even recall what these were! Umm, chicken and rice balls or something like that.

*****QUINCY'S 2ND BIRTHDAY: 2009*****

Here's a peek into Quincy's 2nd party! We held it at my parent's home since at 2, you don't really have friends and it just made more sense since all the family is on their side of town.

I was on bed rest during this time, due at any moment with the twins, but there was NO WAY I was going to let Quincy's daycare teachers go without. I can't even recall how I pulled it off, but I know I had all the elements ready to go, but since I was bed-ridden, my mom ended up having to assemble all the jars! One of the countless things I owe her for.
