Wow, it's been probably half a year since I last blogged. It has been SO frustrating because it's all I want to do but can't manage to find the time/energy to ever get to it. Life is just moving at a pace I can't even comprehend. I feel like the days are passing before I can even take note of what we're actually even doing! It's all been a blur.
I emailed myself a few things a month or so ago that I didn't want to forget. I'm afraid there are so many things the babies and Quincy are saying/doing that I will have no memories of so I am finally taking five minutes now to at least unload these quick stats here, in hopes that I can fill in all the blanks at a later date. I do have so many photos all piled up. Someday maybe I can get to them :(
Let's see, for the part that no one but me will care about....the babies are now 9 months old but at their 6 month appointment (November 17, 2011) Ollie was 17lbs, 4oz with a height of 27" and head of 17". Miley was 14lb, 12oz with a height of 25 3/4" and head of 16 1/4". Quincy was 4 years old at the same appt. with a height of 40" and weight of 33lb.
The babies started crawling between thxgiving and Christmas. They had mastered it by time tree was up.
Miley's first tooth on bottom started to push on her gums January 10thish at about 8 1/2 months. It finally poked through last week which was the first week of February. Ollie still has no teeth, but a big ole smile!
Ollie has been standing for few seconds on his own since 8 1/2 months. Both pulling up holding on to things, walking along tables etc.
Ollie has been babbling like crazy. I guess his first sound is "Da da da da". Miley just lets out screams and then smiles with her scrunched face. She's feisty and doesn't like to be cuddled or contained. She likes to be on the go. So funny how she finds a pacifier and plops it right in her mouth any chance she gets. Miley started the "da da da" babble (non-sense if you ask me!) this week, just a few weeks behind Ollie. Ollie's teacher calls him her "lap lander". That would be because he is a cuddler for sure. He likes to sit on laps and just hang out.
Quincy started gymnastics this month and she loves it, although she still doesn't quite participate so well. We pulled her from ballet/tap because she didn't take it serious enough. I know, she's 4 and we should give the girl a break, but when she just goes and stands around it's frustrating, especially when it's expensive! When she started complaining about having to go to dance, we knew it was time for a change. Now we're in gymnastics. She likes it but I think that's because she has fun playing in the foam pit and making it rain chalk rather than really trying to do anything she's "supposed" to be doing. We'll give it time and see where it goes... maybe the next thing will be theater or something!
