for Quincy that is! Seriously! The best party I'll ever throw unless I get extremely nuts again! It's only downhill from here kiddo!
So, once again my creative side got a little out of control this year. The plans started out small and simple, but somehow continued to build. I blame it on my forgetfulness. I kept forgetting things I'd already planned or bought until it all came together and I realized I had gone just a tad overboard! But, in my defense, it ended up being SO FUN, so it was all worth it. The look of excitement on the girls' faces was so extremely gratifying. That's what it's all about, right? And, as if you can't tell already, we can't contain the love we feel for our little girl. She is our little miracle and I'm totally biased, but I am so thankful to have her in my life that I couldn't celebrate her life big enough. So, here are the photos from her party. It was so chaotic I can't believe I even had a chance to take photos. Shoulda hired a photographer who could have gotten at least some photos in focus, unlike me who was probably snapping photos at the same time I was keeping the kids from eating the body glitter or jumping into the cupcakes. Ugh. But the memories are all there regardless.
Gotta say I got a ton of inspiration from Kim of Tomkat Studio. I love her blog!
So what's with the Christmas tree, you ask? Haven't you heard of Christmas in July? Ha! Well, actually, for the past year, when asked what she wants for any holiday, Q's response was always the same, "I want a Christmas tree!" Even when we would ask what we should get other people, it was the same response, "A Christmas tree!" So, ask and you shall receive, my dear! Oh, and yes, I can spell S-P-O-I-L-E-D :)
The funnest part was the "treasure hunt". I had all these fun things for the girls (tutus, wands, headbands, etc.) but didn't have a plan on what to do with them. It wasn't until the night before the party that I got the idea for the hunt. I didn't have much time (or energy) at that point, but here's what I came up with..
Lastly, I want to thank all our friends & family for coming to the party. It was all the cutie-pies that made it such a special day! Thanks to all the mommies for putting up with my crazy body glitter idea and to the Grandmas for helping corral all the kids! Thanks to my hubby for helping load/unload all the crap and to Grammy/Papa for hosting and helping so much. Thanks to all our family who always shower Q with love and lastly, thanks to Quincy for being such a special little devil of a 3-year-old! XOXO to you all!
How about you just repeat this for Tina's wedding?
