Happy Valemtime's Day (early)
I'm not sure if we're mean parents or just really bad ones but we can't help but reinforce the way Quincy can slaughter words. It's just so darn cute. So, as she refers to it, we invited her BFF from school over on Sunday and while the boys watched the Superbowl, we had some fun with a spur of the moment "Valemtime's Day" photo shoot. She and her friend Rhea absolutely love each other, well, when they aren't tattling on each other or fighting over things ;) When we're home, everything is about Rhea. Rhea likes this, Rhea said that, Rhea does this. She's been trying to convince us for 5 months to name her baby sister Baby Rhea. These photos show what good friends they are. Can't you feel the love?

Weekend Happenings
Gosh, we haven't been up to too much these days other than planning/preparing for babies. Quincy's been going to daycare, dance and her sports class weekly. I love the rec classes because you don't have to commit for too long and the kids get a chance to experience new things. Quincy's been going to a "sports sampler". The down side is that we've had to go out and buy every ball imaginable! Let's see, they started with soccer, then moved to baseball and this weekend will be basketball. She is loving it. She's pretty much a good sport all around these days, willing to try anything and doing it with a smile. Don't get me wrong, I completely realize that means we're in a good phase that will soon pass, but let me soak it up for now! Other than that, Grandma Wood and Cousin Tessi spent the weekend with us last weekend which meant Quincy got her share of girl time. Here are some pics!

Painting Tessi's nails (brave girl that Tess!!)

Making cupcakes with Grandma (We picked up the cupcake maker at a garage sale that morning and by that night, it was in our garage sale pile. DO NOT BUY the cupcake maker! Argh!)

Plan B
So, I had the babies' room all planned. Marshal had painted for me, I had just ordered fabric samples for the bedding/curtains and we were off to Ikea to purchase the furniture when I was in for a surprise. Argh! The black furniture I had fell in love with was actually a light gray color. That darn, deceiving internet! We went home empty handed and I was so depressed that I'd have to re-think everything. I've spent hours today trying to figure out what to do. We already have a room painted a light aqua and one wall with large, bold, black and white stripes. Not an easy thing to reconfigure, or repaint, that's for sure.
Luckily, I think I've come up with a new plan that incorporates the gray furniture after all and I think I like it even better than the original. Yay! Here it is... wish me luck pulling it together! Can you tell how seriously I take decorating? I need to get a life, I know :)

The way we are
As we were heading out the door this morning, I decided to take a few snapshots of our little family, the way were are now. We rarely have photos taken of our family, and when we do, it's usually me taking them... so as usual, they're not exactly the perfectly posed pics, but they'll do. Before our family grows, here we are now... just a small little trio :)

Sleepy in Seattle
While daddy stayed home to work and "doggysit", Quincy and I headed off to Seattle with my family for my "baby" cousin's wedding. It was such a good time and I loved the opportunity to hang out with my family. Being pregnant has its perks while traveling, that's for sure. I don't think I had to lift a finger the whole trip thanks to my still "over-protective" parents! And, with Grammy sharing a bed with Q, I have to say I slept SO GOOD in the ultra comfy hotel bed!
The trip was a little bit of a culture shock for me. I felt like I was on a different planet. I am way too used to the suburban life these days. The downtown area was so interesting to me, not to mention wet and cold!
Quincy was a trooper and had a great time. I think her favorite thing was actually playing princesses with Grammy in the hotel room, but regardless, the trip was full of new experiences for her.
I wish I had gotten better photos, but I was trying not to lug so much baggage everywhere we went. Here are our memories! Thanks to Grammy & Papa for taking us along!
— Princesses with Grammy —

— Morning movies with Uncle "Monkey" —

— Seattle Aquarium —

— Grace & Jordan's Wedding —

The girl would not leave the dance floor!

— The Space Needle, of course —

— Famous Fish Market (obviously) —
