Whirlwind Weekend
I'm still trying to catch my breath from our busy (and totally fun) weekend. Quincy was a social butterfly! The weekend consisted of visits with Grammy & Grandpa, Grandma Wood, Tessi & Galen, Preslie's 2nd birthday party, a play date with Cora, a photo shoot for mom and a football game for dad! Whew! The photos probably speak for themselves and I am too tired to narrate, so here are some weekend memories.

"I got a trophy!"
Quincy received her first trophy last week! She had no idea what it was, but seeing as we made such a big deal about it, she was thrilled. Quincy can officially swim (and float) all by herself. We placed her in the ISR program and after a grueling 6 weeks, we are amazed at the results. Before the lessons, we were terrified to take a hand off her in the pool. Now, we drop her in and let her go! She even jumps in off the side. The program is extremely cool. We are so glad we did it and she actually likes to swim! Here are some pictures from her big day (thanks to Grammy)!

There's a Princess Among Us
Can you say infatuation? Little Miss Princess Q is completely obsessed with princesses at the age of two. She pretty much LIVES in what she calls her "beautiful dress". She wore it all weekend, even to the grocery store. First thing in the morning she stands in her crib and asks where her beautiful dress is. She then continues to tell us how pretty she looks and hold each side out as she dances around. Every morning has been a battle to get her out of her princess jammies. Here is some proof. I couldn't even get her out of the dress to play at the park. I had to pry her Cinderella slippers off of her feet. There she was, digging through sand in her "beautiful dress". Seriously, how did she get so girly? Oh, and she looks so darn big in these photos :(

Self Portraits
Seeing as it's been a rainy weekend and I am trying to tame my always-on-the-go habit, I decided to stay home and finally figure out the little remote control for our camera. It was so fun. I didn't know how much fun taking your own photos could be! My favorite part is that Quincy loved it so much, she was almost as obsessed as me at clicking the shutter button. It's amazing how if you give a toddler the power, they will actually look at the camera for once. Here is some of the fun we had. The photo of Quincy is truly a self portrait. She took it all by herself!

Little Person, Big Imagination
This post is probably not too interesting to most, as it's mainly for my own memory. I just wanted to remember this week as being a little milestone for Quincy. She has been obsessed with the Disney Princesses for a few weeks now. She finally has an (almost) full collection of the little figurines and she brings them everywhere. They are definitely a life-saver when we go out to eat. The change has been in the last few days when she has begun to actually play with them as though the dolls are playing and talking to each other. It is the cutest thing I've seen so far and it is just amazing as her mother to see her suddenly develop this new imagination. It's also so nice because she is content playing by herself for a while! Yay! I know all kids do this, but seeing her evolve from a helpless baby into the little thinker she is now, truly mystifies me and I just wanted to make note because sadly I can't remember what I wore yesterday, let a lone these kind of things. I wish I could bottle these moments and relive them forever :(
