Plan B

So, I had the babies' room all planned. Marshal had painted for me, I had just ordered fabric samples for the bedding/curtains and we were off to Ikea to purchase the furniture when I was in for a surprise. Argh! The black furniture I had fell in love with was actually a light gray color. That darn, deceiving internet! We went home empty handed and I was so depressed that I'd have to re-think everything. I've spent hours today trying to figure out what to do. We already have a room painted a light aqua and one wall with large, bold, black and white stripes. Not an easy thing to reconfigure, or repaint, that's for sure.

Luckily, I think I've come up with a new plan that incorporates the gray furniture after all and I think I like it even better than the original. Yay! Here it is... wish me luck pulling it together! Can you tell how seriously I take decorating? I need to get a life, I know :)

The way we are

As we were heading out the door this morning, I decided to take a few snapshots of our little family, the way were are now. We rarely have photos taken of our family, and when we do, it's usually me taking them... so as usual, they're not exactly the perfectly posed pics, but they'll do. Before our family grows, here we are now... just a small little trio :)

Sleepy in Seattle

While daddy stayed home to work and "doggysit", Quincy and I headed off to Seattle with my family for my "baby" cousin's wedding. It was such a good time and I loved the opportunity to hang out with my family. Being pregnant has its perks while traveling, that's for sure. I don't think I had to lift a finger the whole trip thanks to my still "over-protective" parents! And, with Grammy sharing a bed with Q, I have to say I slept SO GOOD in the ultra comfy hotel bed!

The trip was a little bit of a culture shock for me. I felt like I was on a different planet. I am way too used to the suburban life these days. The downtown area was so interesting to me, not to mention wet and cold!

Quincy was a trooper and had a great time. I think her favorite thing was actually playing princesses with Grammy in the hotel room, but regardless, the trip was full of new experiences for her.

I wish I had gotten better photos, but I was trying not to lug so much baggage everywhere we went. Here are our memories! Thanks to Grammy & Papa for taking us along!

— Princesses with Grammy —

— Morning movies with Uncle "Monkey" —

— Seattle Aquarium —

— Grace & Jordan's Wedding —

The girl would not leave the dance floor!

— The Space Needle, of course —

— Famous Fish Market (obviously) —
